A while ago, Sophie challenged me to do a 100 squat challenge. And recently, I challenged Sophie.
“I have a new idea,” I told my teenage daughter. Sophie waited patiently while I explained. (She’s used to me and my ideas.) “How about you become a regular contributor to my blog? I’d love you to make some unschooling videos for me. Do you think you could do that?”
“I could give it a go.”
I liked Sophie’s answer. I smiled and got very excited. My daughter has lots of interesting stories and thoughts to share. I hope you agree.
This afternoon, Sophie headed into the bush close to our home. She found a shady spot under the gum trees, out of the wind, and away from the dog walkers. (She also avoided the black snake.) She set up her camera and then told the story of how I agreed to try one of her passions, and the benefits we both received from doing something together that Sophie enjoys.
Sophie has a challenge for all parents. Will you watch her video to find out more?
Notes
Sophie makes a weekly vlog which she posts on her Youtube channel, Sophie Elvis.
You can find the workouts we did on the Fitness Blender Youtube channel or website.
Did you enjoy Sophie’s video? Are you interested in watching more? Perhaps there are some topics you’d like to hear my daughter talking about? Please let us know!
Wow, Sue! I’m proud of you too!
Kristyn,
Thank you! In the video, Sophie was very kind to me. She didn’t make a big thing of how difficult I found some of those workouts. It’s just as well I’m stubborn or I might have given up and never done those 100 squats!
