Bad Haircuts and Unschooling Adventures

9 March 2021

In this week’s solo podcast episode, I’m sharing a few stories, and talking about how we can be more adventurous. It’s good to be adventurous, isn’t it? Adventures are fun. They connect us together as a family. They open us to new experiences.

I’ve noticed that parents are often reluctant to be adventurous. We’d rather sit on the sidelines of life where it’s safe because sometimes we’re too afraid or embarrassed or set-in-our-ways to get involved or try new things.

So, in episode 182 of the Stories of an Unschooling Family podcast, I’m sharing three adventurous stories:

  • Unschooling Haircut Courage
  • Younger Unschoolers: Spur-of-the-Moment
  • Enjoying an Unexpected Little Adventure

I’m also sharing a Be Adventurous challenge that I created for our Stories of an Unschooling Family community.

And I’m talking about how adventures don’t have to be complicated or expensive. We just need to take advantage of potentially adventurous moments that appear in our days.
